We're recruiting on behalf of Belfast Health and Social Care Trust to recruit a Cardiac Physiologist/Echocardiographer.

This is a great opportunity to join the trust, where the post holder will be an enthusiastic, motivated physiologist working in the Echo Team as a Band 7 Echocardiographer. They will be essential in supporting and delivering a, safe, efficient, patient centred service.

The role:

• Perform and independently report a wide range of specialist echocardiography procedures, including TTE, TOE, DSE, contrast echo, and exercise echo.

• Contribute to the development of the echocardiography service by drafting and reviewing clinical policies and maintaining optimal stock levels.

• Deliver training and mentorship to cardiac physiologists, students, and medical staff, while supporting multidisciplinary teamwork with expert clinical input.

• Remain up to date with advancements in echocardiography through continuous professional development and maintaining British Society of Echocardiography accreditation.

• Respond autonomously to clinical emergencies and technical challenges, demonstrating effective problem-solving and decision-making.

• Support service delivery through flexible working, including extended hours, seven-day cover, and cross-site duties as needed.

• Undertake managerial responsibilities such as equipment evaluation, audit participation, data reporting, and ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and professional standard

The Person

As the successful candidate you will have the following background and experience:

Essential:

• BSE Accredited (British Society of Echocardiography)

• Experience within the same role.

• Hold a valid drivers license.
