Finance Manager

MCS Group are exclusively looking for a Finance Manager to join WineFlair, a family-run off-licence chain with 55 stores and 320 employees across Northern Ireland.

The Company:

The Role:

As the successful Finance Manager, you will be reporting to the Managing Director and will be responsible for the following duties:

• Prepare and deliver accurate and insightful financial reporting, including monthly management accounts, board analysis and balance sheet reconciliations ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Prepare additional financial reports and to present such at Board Meetings when required by the Managing Director.
• Contribute to overall business profitability and growth by overseeing accurate forecasting, budgeting, cash flow planning and reporting.
• Prepare annual audit pack and oversee the annual external audit process.
• Provide information and analysis on the financial aspects of strategic projects.
• Monitor activities and budgets for each department to ensure budgets are adhered to.
• Assist with Head Office payroll on a monthly basis.
• Prepare and submit all statutory returns including VAT returns and management of the pension scheme and employee benefits.
• Work with our IT Manager to maximise the use of current finance systems and software to ensure they are implemented in an efficient way.
• Contribute to effective coordination between finance and other departments.
• Proactively manage relationships with the bank, auditors, solicitors, service providers and business advisers to ensure compliance and enhance business operations.
• Maintain knowledge of any new initiatives and legislation relating to the financial management of the business and advise accordingly.

The Person:

The successful Finance Manager will have the following characteristics:

• Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent;
• Open to practice or industry background;
• Willing to work in a hybrid basis in Belfast;
• Strong communication skills.
