Internal Auditor

Do you want to build on your internal audit experience across a large complex organisation? MCS Group are recruiting an Internal Auditor on behalf of a client in Belfast city centre. This is an excellent opportunity to work across various NI locations, working closely with the rest of the audit team and assisting the Audit Supervisor on complex assignments.

You will perform risk based audit assignments which will include documentation of systems and processes, preparation of audit papers, performing and concluding testing on systems and processes and drafting the audit report. You will review audit findings, highlighting risk and making recommendations.

You will have excellent communication skills, dealing with internal staff daily, providing and receiving complex and sensitive information. You will maintain confidentiality at all times and at times you may assist in the training and coaching of junior members of staff.

The person

You will have strong IT and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team. To be considered for the role you must demonstrate the below:

• Relevant degree in Accountancy/Business or any other degree related to internal audit, plus one year working in Internal Audit, Risk Management or Governance

OR

• Be part-qualified or a qualified Accounting Technician with one years experience working in Internal Audit or Finance

OR

• Have 3 years experience working in one or a combination of the following: Internal Audit. Finance, Risk Management or Governance
• Hold a current full driving licence, with access to a car. If a disability prohibits driving, you will have access to a form of transport that allows you to carry out the duties of the post.

The role

Location: Belfast

Duration: Until 31/3/26 with possible extension

Pay rate: £15.33 per hour

Hours: Monday- Friday 37.5 hours per week
