Job Description
MCS Group are delighted to be partnering with a well-respected public sector organisation to recruit a Management Accountant.
The Role:
* Provide accurate and timely financial information to support decision-making.
* Prepare monthly management accounts, budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis for senior management.
* Partner with budget holders to ensure effective financial planning, control, and performance.
* Manage and develop junior finance staff to deliver a professional and responsive service.
* Improve financial systems, processes, and controls to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
* Support governance, audit, and reporting requirements, ensuring the highest standards of integrity and compliance.
The Person:
As the successful candidate, you will demonstrate the following:
Essential:
* A full professional qualification with a recognised accountancy body.
* Evidence of experience in at least three of the following:
Developing a finance team.
Managing the budget setting process and producing high-quality budgetary information.
Delivering timely and accurate management information to inform decision-making.
Producing timely, accurate management accounts.
