Payroll Officer - Belfast

MCS Group is delighted to be partnering with an established and growing Accountancy Practice located in Belfast, looking to recruit a Payroll Officer on a full time, permanent basis.

Job Duties of the Payroll Officer include:

• Reports to the Payroll Manager.
• Responsible for processing payrolls for a portfolio of clients, including approximately 200 monthly and 70 weekly payrolls.
• Works under the guidance of Manager, who provides payroll advisory support.
• Administers statutory requirements such as sick pay, maternity pay, and pension contributions.
• Provides support and guidance to trainee team members as needed.

What you need to be the Payroll Officer

• Ideally has around 2 years' experience in payroll processing.
• Experience in a practice or bureau environment is preferred, though industry experience will also be considered.
• Must be comfortable and confident in end-to-end payroll processing.
• Candidates with less experience may be considered if they show strong aptitude and enthusiasm for payroll.
• Experience working with clients, building and maintaining relationships.
