PostgresSQL DBA

MCS Group is excited to be partnering with an innovative technology driven organisation based in County Dublin. The company have grown exponentially within their industry and are now ready to expand the team further. With a plethora of exciting characters and welcoming company culture, they are seeking to add a Postgres DBA to their team.

Main duties and responsibilities for the Database Administrator:

• Manage, maintain and optimise PostgreSQL databases
• Ensure database availability, security, and performance
• Perform backups, restores and data migrations
• Monitor and troubleshoot database issues
• Work closely with developers to support database needs

Qualifications/experience required for the next DBA:

• Strong experience with PostgreSQL
• Good understanding of database design, indexing and performance tuning
• Familiarity with backup and recovery processes
• Experience with Linux-based systems
• Basic scripting knowledge (e.g., Bash, Python) is a plus
• Happy to be on site 2 days per week.
• Full Right to work in Ireland
