.Net Developer

MCS Group is working with a fast-growing Insurtech company as they expand their software development team. We're looking for multiple .NET Developers to help deliver secure, scalable features across a growing suite of products.

You'll join a tight-knit engineering team, working closely with the Software Engineering Manager and senior engineers. Expect to shape distributed systems, mentor junior developers, and uphold high engineering standards. With new products and fresh investment, this is a great opportunity for someone looking for real career progression-one of our placements here was promoted within a year.

This role is hybrid in Belfast, with free parking. Interviewing between now and the new year!

What you'll do

• Take part in sprint planning, estimation, and clear technical documentation.
• Build high-performance .NET Core applications focused on scale, security, and reliability.
• Write, review, and maintain clean, testable code.
• Implement automated testing across unit, integration, E2E, performance, and security.
• Support production systems, including occasional out-of-hours incident response.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and engineering standards.
• Report progress, raise blockers, and share improvement ideas with local leadership.

What you'll bring

• Strong commercial experience in software engineering, architecture, and system design.
• Proficiency in C# and .NET (ideally .NET Core).
• Solid grounding in design principles (SOLID, DRY, clean code).
• Experience building scalable, distributed systems.
• SQL Server knowledge; NoSQL experience a bonus.
• Good understanding of application security and best practices.
• Experience with CI/CD, Git, and DevOps workflows.
• Cloud experience (Azure preferred; AWS/GCP considered).
• Knowledge of REST APIs, HTTP, web standards, and front-end integration.
• Comfortable in Agile environments.
• Experience mentoring junior developers or leading small initiatives.

Package

Salary up to £55,000 plus benefits.
