Bid Writer

MCS Group are excited to be working exclusively on a unique Bid Writer opportunity with a Specialist Civils Contractor. This role offers the chance to play a pivotal role within the team by securing new business and supporting the company's growth through high-quality bid submissions for civils projects.

The Role

We are working with a civils contractor based in Belfast, to recruit a motivated and experienced Bid Writer to join a growing multi-sector contractor operating across rail, energy, infrastructure, construction, and engineering throughout the UK and Ireland.

You will;

• Prepare clear, persuasive, and compliant bid submissions for projects across multiple sectors.
• Manage the full bid process, coordinating inputs from internal teams and subject matter experts.
• Research and monitor opportunities, maintaining a pipeline of relevant tenders and frameworks.
• Maintain bid documentation and resources, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and consistency.
• Support business decisions and reporting, providing updates on bid activity, outcomes, and strategic opportunities.

The Ideal Candidate;

• Proven experience in bid writing, bid coordination or tender development, ideally within rail, energy, infrastructure or civil engineering sectors.
• Experience researching and analysing opportunities, including frameworks, tenders, and procurement pipelines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, producing clear, persuasive, and accurate content.
• Highly organised and proactive, managing multiple deadlines, documentation, and planning tasks.
